We initially wrote this family devotional guide for use during December, to help our family focus on the true meaning of Christmas and to prepare us for the new year. It is similar to a Jesse Tree advent devotional and many ornament sets could work with it. However, this guide will work well during any time of the year as it gives a clear, but abbreviated, overview of God’s plan of salvation from Genesis through Jesus’ birth, life, death, and resurrection.

If you struggle to make family devotions a habit, this is a great place to start! Each lesson is designed to take only five to ten minutes. If you aim to do family devotions about five days each week, such as on school days, this guide will last your family for more than a month.
